The Department of Fisheries Resource Management under the College of Fishery Science, Udgir started functioning since 2007 with a mandate of carrying out teaching, research and extension activities on Fisheries Resource Management. The department is involved in research and extension activities mostly related to fish and shellfish species suitable for aquaculture and awareness on negative impacts of exotic fish species, documentation of freshwater fish diversity in Maharashtra state, providing services for fish identification etc.
The department is involved in teaching the B.F.Sc courses as per the time to time recommendations of ICAR New Delhi. The following courses are being offered to undergraduate students as per the guidelines of VI Deans Committee
